Offshore wind turmoil shakes the foundations of key suppliers

Postponed or dropped projects in the US could have ”significant consequences”, says Dutch foundation manufacturer, while Germany’s EEW laments Ørsted’s decision on Ocean Wind.

It’s not just project developers who have been affected by the current downturn in the offshore wind industry. Cancellations, delays and general challenges of projects, primarily in the US but also in more mature markets, are naturally also felt further down the value chain, where foundations, among other things, have been shaken.
