Energy group Ørsted has completed the divestment of 50% of the offshore wind farm Gode Wind 3 to funds managed by Glennmont Partners from Nuveen, the company announced on Tuesday afternoon.

The transaction amounts to a total sales price of around DKK 3.5bn (USD 500m).

The agreement was already signed on Oct. 17 this year - and now the sale has been finalized.

Back in 2017 and 2018, Ørsted was awarded the 253 megawatt (MW) offshore wind farm as two separate projects with a weighted average feed-in tariff of EUR 81 per megawatt hour (MWh).

Gode Wind 3 is currently under construction together with the Borkum Riffgrund 3 offshore wind farm, in which Ørsted and Glennmont already own half each.

Glennmont is also co-owner of Ørsted’s Gode Wind 1 offshore wind farm.
