Vestas turbines to stand on Chinese monopiles at Scottish offshore wind farm

Chinese manufacturers Dajin Offshore and Guangzhou Wenchong have won the contract to supply XXL monopiles for the 1.1GW Inch Cape wind farm.

The joint venture between state-owned Chinese Red Rock Power and Irish ESB, Inch Cape Offshore Limited, has selected suppliers from Red Rock’s home country for the monopiles of the 1.1GW offshore wind farm which the two developers will install off the east coast of Scotland, Renews reports.
