Ørsted must win New York tender to avoid EUR 1.7bn loss

The extra high stakes have been taken into account in Ørsted’s bid, says the CEO.

The stakes are higher than perhaps ever in New York’s pending offshore wind bidding. If Ørsted fails to secure a new and better deal for the rebid Sunrise Wind project, it will add another billion-euro loss to the more than DKK 30bn (EUR 4bn) that has already been sunk into US offshore wind projects.
