Prysmian signs EUR 1.9bn contract

Preferred supplier status has now been replaced by a confirmed order with the Italian cable manufacturer.

Italian cable manufacturer Prysmian has been awarded a contract worth around EUR 1.9bn for the supply of an HVDC cable system for the Eastern Green Link 2 (EGL2) network development project to connect Scotland and England.
