Major foundation manufacturers initiate partnership

SBM Offshore and Technip Energies join forces in a joint venture for floating wind platforms. ”Necessary to capture the potential”, says CEO.

Two of the major players in floating wind are now joining forces. French Technip Energies and Dubai-based SBM Offshore have signed a letter of intent to establish the joint venture Ekwil, which will act as a pure player in floating offshore wind solutions. The plan is to combine both manpower and the two companies’ respective technologies, INO15 and Float4Wind.
