Vestas to supply turbines for new Japanese offshore wind project

The runner-up in the latest Japanese offshore wind tender has been selected for a 375MW project. Like two of the other projects from the latest round of tenders, Vestas turbines are preferred.

A consortium consisting of Iberdrola together with Japanese companies Tohuko Electric and JRE has been awarded capacity for the Happo-Noshiro project. The 375MW offshore wind farm will be built in Akita Prefecture in northern Japan.
