CIP and Vattenfall prevail in Dutch 4 GW tender

Minister is ”extra happy” that someone wants to build offshore wind in the current market after the 4 GW tender, where qualitative criteria were more important than the price.

The Zeevonk consortium, consisting of offshore wind players CIP and Vattenfall have secured one of two projects in the Netherlands’ largest offshore wind tender to date of 4 GW. The Danish/Swedish joint venture won the 2 GW IJmuiden Ver Beta, while the British SSE, together with pension funds ABP and APG, won the equally sized Alpha project in the Noordzeker consortium.
