New offshore wind installation hit second highest level ever in 2023

10.8GW of offshore wind was installed in 2023, and that number could very well increase in the coming years, according to GWEC.

Although offshore wind has been challenged by higher prices, rising interest rates and supply chain issues in recent years, new offshore wind installations hit 10.8GW in 2023, according to a report from the Global Wind Energy Council.
