Wind consultant firm benefits from the industry's lower returns

Danish consultant firm K2 has just hired its 100th employee and thus tripled the size of its staff in five years. The growth is due to investor appetite for lower returns.

Just like any other industry, wind is ultimately all about returns. Strictly measured on that front, the recently released annual report from Danish consultant K2 indicates that the fiscal year 2015/2016 was very tight. The company's ROCE – Returns On Invested Capital – is only one third of last year's figure, while the net result fell by 40 percent down to DKK 2.9 million (EUR 390,000).
