Alterra Power secured upwards of 1.7 GW under full PTC aid

With the announcement of a 200 MW project last week, the Canadian energy company Alterra managed to rack in far more than a gigawatt last year. The company has every intention of continuing this trend in 2017.

Last week, Canada's Alterra Power announced the Flat Top project in Texas. But the 200 MW wind farm, which the company says will be rigged with Vestas turbines, is not the only project from 2016 for the energy company. Alterra snatched up projects under the full PTC tax subsidy scheme for 1.2 to 1.7 GW by the scheme's deadline at the turn of the year, writes the company.
