
Swedish retail chain Ikea has now purchased its second wind farm in Canada for a total DKK 425 million (EUR 57 million) and the retail giant has thus progressed further in its ambitions to cover all of its electricity needs with renewable energy, writes Recharge News.
Ikea has acquired the wind farm Wintering Hills with 55 turbines in southern Canada in two separate deals with the owners TransAlta, Canada's largest wind supplier, and the metal/mining giant Teck Resources.
