To reach its goal of 9.5 GW renewable energy in 2023, Saudi Arabia will have to invest USD 30-50 billion, mainly in wind and solar projects. The venture begins with two projects totaling 700 MW, writes Recharge.
The two projects concern an auction to construct 400 MW of wind and 300 MW of sun. A request for qualification has just been opened and expires on March 20. The qualified parties will make it onto a list of prequalified bidders, which is to be published on April 10. From April 17 and until the end of July, it will be possible to make a bid for the two projects.
