Gamesa to explore new locations after Siemens merger

The merger with Siemens will provide for a size enabling greater and faster growth than ever, says Gamesa's chairman.

Gamesa's merger with Siemens might be only two weeks from finalization. If the EU Commission's competition authority approves the two wind turbine manufacturers' merger, the last obstacle will be cleared for the creation of a wind behemoth with annual revenue of around EUR 10 billion, and an orderbook reaching EUR 21 billion.
