German company E.on will build two battery systems totalling 20 MW which will power the Roscoe wind farm in Texas, reports Recharge.
The battery systems will be completed and connected at the end of 2017, and will be installed in collaboration with the company Greensmith, in which E.on invested in 2015. The two storage systems will use lithium-ion batteries and, according to the company, help to balance out fluctuations on the local grid.
