Vestas sends EUR 289 million to shareholders

Despite excitement over the share price development, the Danish wind turbine manufacturer has no plans for a stock split.

Vestas' shareholders can look forward to receiving EUR 289 million in dividends – before taxes – after the profit distribution was approved Thursday at the company's general assembly.

The profit for 2016 came to EUR 955 million, EUR 289 million of which will be paid out as dividends. This corresponds to DKK 9.71 (EUR 1.3) per share and 30 percent of the company's profit.
