If elected politicians in Denmark want the most wind for the least public funding, then they should choose a new tender system for onshore wind based on fixed price contracts when they write up their new subsidy scheme for onshore wind.
This is the conclusion from the Danish Wind Industry Association (DWIA), announced one week ago when the association determined in an analysis that by granting wind turbine owners a set sum independent of the electricity price, would provide for savings of close to DKK 650 million (EUR 87 million) from 2019 to 2025. This system is already known from the offshore wind industry.
