Goldwind nabs competitor's executive

China's wind giant continues its campaign into US territory, nabbing the head of technology from its European competitor.

China's largest wind turbine supplier, Goldwind, has added a new executive to its US ranks. The subsidiary Goldwind Americas has a new vice president of engineering and technology, Reinhard Sander. He takes to the post after eight and a half years as head of technology at German wind turbine manufacturer Nordex's US branch.

"Reinhard brings extensive experience leading the engineering and technical functions of a wind turbine technology organization and will be an invaluable asset in representing Goldwind's technology and brand throughout global markets," says David Halligan, CEO of Goldwind Americas.
