Dong's new Liverpool offshore base is complete

A new operations base for Dong's offshore wind farms Burbo Bank and Burbo Bank Extension has just been completed.

The construction has finished on Dong Energy's new offshore operation base on the bank of the Mersey River in Liverpool and the keys have been handed to Dong, reports offshore wind.

The GBP 6 million building will serve as the operations base for the 90 MW offshore wind farm Burbo Bank and 258 MW Burbo Bank Extension. Until now, they have each been serviced by a building on either side of the Mersey river.
