MHI Vestas lands order for 252 MW

The offshore wind turbine manufacturer has finalized its first order since a fire erupted on a prototype, after a Canadian firm reaches financial close with more than EUR 1 billion raised for a German offshore wind farm.

Canada's Northland Power is ready to add another 252 MW to its portfolio of European offshore wind.

The day after the utility completed the takeover of the German offshore wind project Deutche Bucht from Highland Group, Northland is now announcing that the project is financially secure. Around 75 percent of the total investment sum of EUR 1.3 billion was raised in loans from 10 banks.
