Vestas nabs 174 MW in the United States

A customer has ordered 100 turbines for a large-scale wind project in the US state of Iowa.

Vestas has landed an order for the Wind XI project in Iowa.

MidAmerican Energy has ordered 100 wind turbines from the V110 series, each boasting 2 MW. However, the order only amounts to 174 MW as the customer, owned by billionaire Warren Buffett's utility, had already previously ordered components to be used on the project.
