Statoil considering new solar investments

With a solar plant on the way in Brazil, Statoil is already active in the solar energy area. But the investment could be much larger, says the company.

Norwegian oil and gas company Statoil will intensify its efforts to building a greener profile, says the company's executive vice president, New Energy Solutions, Irene Rummelhoff, in an interview with business media e24.no.

In October last year, Statoil announced that it will also operate as a solar energy producer going forward, and the company is also in the process of becoming a wind player.
