Germany needs an acute expansion of its electricity grid

If Germany wants to carry out the country's plans to install massive amounts of renewable energy, then an extensive expansion of country's electricity network will be necessary, says economist.

There is no way around it. In the years to come, Germany will have to invest billions and billions of euros in a landmark expansion and renewal of the country's electricity grid, said reputable economist Felix Matthes in an interview with analyst agency Montel at a presentation in Berlin.
