Wind power saves Vattenfall's result after heating collapse

Vattenfall exits the third quarter with a solid profit of SEK 1.8 billion (EUR 170 million). Without the wind energy division, however, the Swedish utility would have been hard pressed on its bottom line.

Vattenfall's important central heating division showed a historically poor result for the third quarter of 2018. Not only was Vattenfall excluded from its assets in Hamburg during Q3 of this year after the city decided to take responsibility for operating its central heating system.
