Short-circuit closes Russian nuclear plant

Radiation levels at and near the nuclear plant remain unchanged after the reactor was shut down, says company.

Russian nuclear power plant Kalinin has shut down three out of four reactors after a transformer short-circuited Thursday, informs Russian utility Rosenergoatom in a press statement, which elaborates that the first, second and fourth reactors have been taken offline, reports news agencies Reuters and AFP.
