RWE targets climate neutrality by 2040 as sun sets on coal

Europe's largest CO2 emitter, German utility RWE AG, has just pledged carbon neutrality by 2040, which it plans to achieve through coal plant decommissionings, biomass conversions and by expanding its renewable energy portfolio.
