Wind propels SSE's profit forward

The Scottish utility's profit from renewable energy is doubled and boosts the combined bottom line.

Sharper focus on renewables is paying off for Scottish utility SSE, which presents its half-year interim report for the 2019 fiscal year today, Friday. The financial statement shows an adjusted pre-tax profit of GBP 263.4 million, up 15 percent relative to H1 of 2018, when adjusted profit came to GBP 229.4 million.
