Prysmian wins another major contract in Germany

A week after Prysmian won the official nomination to supply half of Germany's Südostlink connector, the Italian cable manufacturer lands yet another order worth more than EUR 500 million for underground transmission line A-Nord.

Italian cable maker Prysmian has won a contract valued in excess of EUR 500 million for German underground power cable project A-Nord, a part of the 2 GW electrical corridor A development, reports Bloomberg News.

The customer is German transmission system operator Amprion.

Prysmian will produce, lay, test and commission the 1 GW transmission system.

The company's share price was up by 2 percent on the Milan stock exchange at noon Monday.

Last week, Danish cable company NKT also won a supply deal worth roughly a half billion euros, also for the Südostlink connector.
