Centrica Energy Trading defies wind and weather after name change

In the eye of the storm, Centrica Energy Trading maintains its 2020 guidance on the back of a record-large profit from last year, when the Danish trader became fully integrated into its UK utility parent company.

Perhaps it wasn't the news that ran with all headlines last year, but it still set an undercurrent for the whole of 2019: low prices on power and gas resulting from a mild winter and a lot of wind in Northern Europe.
