Norway's nuclear waste bill keeps growing

Cleanup expenses for two Norwegian research reactors is only getting bigger and bigger. Three years back, the atomic waste removal cost estimate was NOK 890 million, but a fresh report now sets the price closer to NOK 3.7 billion.

A new report from the Norwegian Nuclear Decommissioning (NND) sets the cleanup costs for two domestic nuclear research reactors, Halden and Kjeller, up a notch.
