EDF nearly triples profit in first half of 2021

The French utility significantly ups its result, though the advancement isn't enough to satisfy investors as the share price dives by almost 4 percent.

French utility Électricité de France (EDF) sees electricity and gas prices rise from the depths of Covid in the first half of 2021, leading to nearly a tripling of its adjusted net profit compared to the same period last year, reports Bloomberg News.
