Vattenfall produces world's first green steel

For the first time ever, fossil-free steel is produced using only green hydrogen.

Steel production typically emits just under two tonnes of CO₂ per tonne of steel, and with a huge global consumption, this makes the production one of the single biggest carbon emitters.
