Ørsted considers revision of green targets

The energy major’s plan to invest DKK 475bn to expand capacity to 50GW by 2030 will be examined in the coming months. ”We are exploring a wide range of opportunities,” says its CEO.

It’s no more than four months ago that Ørsted underlined its growth plans. At the energy company’s Capital Markets Day, CEO Mads Nipper reiterated the ambition to invest DKK 475bn (USD 67bn) by 2030 to expand renewable energy capacity to around 50GW — 34.5GW more than the current level.
