Ørsted breaks ground on Danish CCS plants

Carbon capture and storage has been identified as a key technology for achieving climate goals. Now Ørsted is taking the first steps in the Danish cities of Hvidovre and Kalundborg.

On Monday, Minister for Energy, Climate and Utilities Lars Aagaard, together with Ørsted’s CEO Mads Nipper, Kalundborg’s mayor Martin Damm and Hvidovre’s acting mayor Søren Friis Trebbien, will break ground on Denmark’s first large-scale CO2 capture plant.
