Appeals board criticizes practice used in development of Danish energy projects
It is in violation of the Danish law on planning when Tønder Municipality in Southern Denmark asks whether developers will donate money to a local development fund when they apply to set up renewable energy projects in the municipality, according to a recently published statement from the Danish National Appeals Board (Ankestyrelsen), which has scrutinized the municipality’s processing of applications for renewable energy projects.
