Vattenfall installs batteries on wind farm

The Swedish company has installed the largest battery in the Netherlands on one of its wind farms. The battery is 3 MW but the plan is to quadruple capacity.

It may not have the magnitude of Tesla's project 100 MW battery project in Australia, but Vattenfall has still named its new project a "mega" battery.

The mega battery consists of 88 BMW i3 batteries, which have been interconnected into one large battery, that has now been installed on the wind farm Princess Alexia in the Netherlands.
