A major deal is underway in the cable world. Poland's TFKable has acquired British JDR, which manufactures cables for offshore oil, gas, and wind turbines.

The two companies are already familiar with one another, as TFKable manufactures equipment including cables as well, and the two parties have previously worked closely together. But with the takeover, TFKable will be in an even stronger position with a greater portfolio of products to offer customers, states the company in a press release.
