Danish utilities have a monopoly on operating the country's electricity grid, but this must be more clearly separated from their commercial activities, states the energy minister.

It was never the intention for the electricity grid in Denmark, where utilities have a monopoly, to finance investment ventures in other fields far from the core businesses of these companies.
