Vattenfall eyes opportunity for Danish wind farm with no subsidies

The fifth-largest offshore wind farm in Denmark will either need to extend its lifespan or it will be dismantled in 2022 to make room for a repowering project.

Vattenfall has begun planning the future for Horns Rev 1. The offshore wind farm's calculated lifespan of 20 years will expire in 2022 and the subsidies are slowly starting to run out.
