US starts environmental prep for country's largest offshore wind farm

Dominion Energy expects to invest around EUR 6.6bn in the project, which will start generating electricity by 2026, if everything goes to plan.

On Thursday, the Biden Administration took the first step in an environmental study which will pave the way for the largest offshore wind farm in US waters. Dominion Energy wants to build the 2.6 GW farm off of the coast of Virginia.
