Andel proposes nearshore floating wind in Kattegat sea

The energy company wants to establish a nearshore windfarm off the coast of island Anholt using Vestas’ 15MW turbines installed atop floating platforms, if possible.

The open door policy launched by the Danish Energy Council is still creating a boom in proposed projects, with 43 applications submitted by the start of the summer holidays.

On July 22, another application was received – Andel’s request to conduct preliminary investigations on its project, Sønderbjerg Havvindmøllepark, off the coast of Anholt.
