
A crucial first step has been taken for what could be one of Scandinavia's largest solar farms. According to local Danish media Sjællandske, European Energy has obtained a principle approval to install a solar farm spanning upwards of 80 hectares in southern Denmark.
The city council's business committee in the Danish city of Næstved has granted the approval. Before the project can be realized, however, an addition is still missing from the city development plan, and a local development plan must still be created. Citizen meetings will be held and the plans can be passed in the city council after hearings.
