Northvolt collects SEK 159m in aid to recycle batteries

The battery maker's forthcoming recycling plant will be built near its Ett factory in Skellefteå, Sweden.

The Swedish Environmental Protection Agency, Naturvårdsverket (SDEA), is taking a deep reach into its pockets to support a recycling facility located near Northvolt's Ett factory in Skellefteå. The new facility will have an initial annual production capacity for 16GWh of power storage and is expected to enter operation in 2022.
