Velux cuts 550 staff positions in big restructuring

The window manufacturer restructures its local organization, triggering 550 layoffs in a move that may also create some new jobs.

550 staff positions are disappearing from Danish cleantech window manufacturer Velux, which is implementing a new business structure to accelerate growth on an a global scale. The company's hitherto organization features subsidiaries in 40 countries.
