Interest group eyes expanding German hydrogen market

Not long after launching its national hydrogen strategy, Germany is beginning to strike deals with nations around the globe. Danish hydrogen association eyes its neighboring market hungrily, saying exports could fill state coffers more than oil ever did.

It might well be that Germany missed its climate target for 2020, that its renewables expansion is lagging, and that the country will be one of the last EU nations to phase out coal. But Germany is far ahead in one aspect: Nearly a year ago, its federal government launched a national hydrogen strategy, and in the past week alone, activity has been both high and geographically widespread.
