Statkraft and Freyr ink binding agreement

Under a binding heads of terms deal, the two Norwegian firms have sketched out a future long-term physical renewable power supply agreement, whereby Statkraft will deliver energy to Freyr’s planned battery facility.

Norwegian firms Statkraft and Freyr have signed a binding heads of terms agreement with the ambition to finalize a long-term renewable energy supply deal, the former firm reports in a press release.

Under the deal, Statkraft is projected to cover all Freyr’s energy needs in the period 2024–2031 for the latter firm’s planned battery cell production facility in Norwegian city Mo i Rana.
