Although Australian electrolysis startup Hysata won’t have a demo project ready until next year, the prospect of green hydrogen with almost no wasted energy has meant orders for more than 10 GW.
On one hand, it is far more efficient than competing technologies, because it has virtually no power loss. On the other hand, the cost is lower, because it consists of fewer and cheaper materials, making it easier to scale up.
