
Over the past five years, there has not been a shadow of doubt among the global electric car industry that Norway is the ultimate example of the fact that the transition to a greener and electricity-based transport sector is possible.
The country, which is rich in both hydropower and oil, had an electric car fleet of 3,347 cars in 2010, while in August this year that figure magnified to 123,000. The development corresponds to a 3851 percent increase (In Denmark, the same figure is 3119 percent in March). While this no doubt inspires optimism amongst green organizations or at Tesla, the rapid expansion also has a downside.
