
British oil and gas group BP has discovered new oil and gas in the North Sea, announces the company in a corporate statement, where adding that the fields are located in the British part of the North Sea. One is the Capercaillie field in the central part of the North Sea and the second is the Achmelvich field in the West of Shetland area.
BP is sole owner of the Capercaillie field, while Achmelvich has BP as operator with a stake of 52.6 percent. Shell owns 28 percent and Chevron 19.4 percent.
