Chevron outbid in struggle for Anadarko

There is tough competition to buy Anadarko Petroleum, and Chevron has some time appeared to be the company that would succeed with the acquisition. But a new bid for Anadarko has now been placed, pushing Chevron against the wall.

A bidding war has seriously kicked off for US oil company Anadarko Petroleum – following a period in which it seemed Chevron had basically sealed the acquisition deal.
